Day Seventeen - Thoughts on the New EP
Freaking brilliant
I think this is one of the strongest EP’s they’ve released in years. All three songs are equally great, but still different in their own way. “Every Teardrop is a Waterfall” has a nice upbeat, happy, almost pop sound. It really gets me jamming. “Major Minus” is dirty, raw, and fresh for Coldplay. I like this style a lot for them. “Moving to Mars” is absolutely breathtaking. Probably my favorite out of the three. Very soothing and calm. It’s a bit of a twist on Coldplay’s signature sound. The haunting piano, vocals, and harmonies are just lovely.
